I'm currently listening to Phil Driscoll's "Jesus I love you."...the words are so appropriate...the melody and music, inspiring. It assists in my devotion and praise of Yeshua. Apostle John (Rabbi Yochanan) states, in 1 John 3:16;
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
The love of Yeshua in dying in our place is truly overwhelming. Apostle Paul, Rabbi Sh'aul states in Romans 6: 17-19;
17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
What a blessing! I love You Yeshua! Thank You for loving me!

In Fifty Days

Yesterday was passover. After passover, there are seven weeks or 49 days, called the "counting of the omer" and then comes Pentecost or Shavuot. This was the time that the gift of the Holy Spirit was first given to the apostles. I am excited at the thought that God will give gifts to His children at Pentecost.
Today, as I count the omer, I am grateful for His eternal mercies and His bounty. Thank You Father for Your generous gift!

Pleasing God

Psalm 143:10 "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground."
2 Corinthians 5: 9 "So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it."
Romans 8: 14 "because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."
A very important desire of the believer is to know and obey God's will. After all, Yeshua, our Lord and example (John 4: 34, Matthew 10: 25, 1 Peter 2: 21) made it his daily bread to know and perform God's will. It is therefore imperative that the believer do the same.
It is notable that the psalmist recognized that the will of God must be taught. His prayer was for God to teach him, the psalmist also recognized that the Holy Spirit was the Leader, and most importantly, the psalmist realized that this was his privilege or right as a worshiper... this is displayed in his declaration... "for you are my God".
My goal as well, as the psalmist and apostle Paul made plain is to please God at all times. Help me Father to know Your will and to perform it, lead me by Your Spirit according to Your word, in Jesus name, amen.

Faith Speaks

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 2 Corinthians 4: 13
The Spirit of faith has some characteristics. One major characteristic is the speech or declarations of the possessor of the spirit of faith. Another characteristic is the written word. The third and most important characteristic, is that the speech of the possessor of the spirit of faith is according to the written word.
Faith is always based on God's word, but it is activated or ignited by speaking forth that word. it begins as a revelation and ends as a declaration. In other words, God said it, it was written down, I read it, I agree with it (belief) and I speak it forth and live by it (faith).
Yes, I also believe, and therefore, speak!

Elohim says, "come"
The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let anyone who hears this say, "Come." Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. - Revelations 22: 17 (NLT)
Elohim; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit always invites us to come. No matter where we are or where we've been, their call is "come"!
"Come now, let's settle this," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool. - Isaiah 1: 18 (NLT)
The love of God is so encompassing that we could never had attained such love on our own. We are simply blessed by God's mercies. God's amazing love forgives, cleanses and creates. His love sustains and fulfills us.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. - Hebrews 4:16
This new year, I return to the One Who owns me, I go to the One Who made me... as that old hymn says; "O Lamb of God, I come, I come."

Yeshua's Peace

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. - John 14: 27
John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." - John 20: 21
As we end this year (looking at the Julian calendar), sad events happening all around the world, particularly in Nigeria ignite the memory of the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua ha Mashiach). It is His peace, His grace, His strength that encourages, embolden, enables, empowers and energizes us.
I remind you to receive Yeshua's peace. Shalom!

My Feet
He maketh my feet like hinds' [feet]: and setteth me upon my high places. 2 Samuel 22: 34 (KJV)
The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. Habakkuk 3:19 (KJV)
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. Psalm 18: 33 (KJV)
Since at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word is established, it is noteworthy that Prophets Samuel, David and Habakkuk declare that God will make their feet like that of the hind. When I read up a little on the hind, I found out that it was a unique animal in that its rear feet step in the exact spot made by its fore feet. Such precision! This Scottish female deer is instinctively precise. It is also bold and courageous.
I also declare; God makes my feet firm and able like the Hinds! God sets me secure and confident upon the heights of life, in Jesus name!

The Power of Gratitude

Step by Step
My recent studies have led me through the Psalms and it's reinforced my praise and worship. David was peculiar in that he occupied three offices at one time, he was a prophet, a king and a psalmist. His prayers were exemplary, prophetic and inspirational. They sometimes reveal the process of God's mercy and judgment.
The process, the path, the way, the journey, the outline, those are words that describe reality, the reality of us, humans. Bebo Norman and Rich Mullins capture the words I have on my heart in the song they wrote (Sometimes by step)...
God, You are my God
I will ever praise You
I will seek in the morning
I will learn to walk in Your ways
Step by step You'll lead me
i will worship You all of my days

I'm Free
Let the redeemed of Adonai say so...Psalm 107:2
From my studies of the word of God and in line with what I've been taught, we, Christians, are the ones to proclaim our victory, declare our redemption, and profess our liberty in Yeshua. In accordance with God's word, I am redeemed, I am delivered, I am blessed, I am forgiven, I am adopted into God''s family, I am victorious, I am prosperous, I am above not beneath, I am more than conquerors in Yeshua HaMashiach! Hallelujah!

Everlasting Father
Today is Father's Day and I'm meditating on the fact that Yeshua Mashiach (Jesus Christ) is the Everlasting Father.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)
Truly Yeshua Mashiach is, to us the redeemed by His grace, our Everlasting Father. The earthly father of humans, Adam, gave us the inheritance of sin and death. It was and is Yeshua who gave us the inheritance of everlasting life. As Adam endowed us with condemnation, Yeshua endowed us with grace.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. - 1 Corinthians 15:22
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: - Romans 5:12
Rabbi Sh'aul continues in verses 14-21 of Romans;
14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
These verses explicitly explain how Yeshua Fathers us. By proper doctrine and divine order, Christians cannot pray to Yeshua, we pray to God the Father, however, we can call Him (Yeshua), Everlasting Father, for He is that to us. He is the ONLY Mediator between the Father and us (1 Timothy 2:5) and He is the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls (1 Peter 2:25).
This Father's day, I am grateful to the Everlasting Father (Yeshua) for His everlasting grace (2 Corinthians 13:14). Todah rabbah Yeshua, Avinu Malkeinu (Jesus, our Father and King, thank You very much).

The Faith Walk
Six years ago on this day, I made a plea to God, there have been several events that have reinforced that plea and six years later, I've grown, and I'm still growing. The faith walk is a continuous one, for the just shall live by faith...thank You Father for loving me even still...I am grateful for June the second!
