Forty seven years ago this day
My older brother Sọji was born

I'm over his death
I'm actually at peace!
Instead of a little sigh
I sing a praise song
Instead of a second of regret
I hum a tune of excitement

I hope to adopt a child one day
I think I'll name him/her Olusọji
For real, Oluwasọji
Has resurrected, has revived, lives again
The Ancient of days Fearful in praises
Has proven that He alone is all I need
