A Proverb A Day

A proverb a day
Keeps the folly at bay
True I say
In every way

That was a poem I wrote many years ago. There are other stanzas but the above would suffice. Shlomo (Solomon in Hebrew language)has the reputation from God to be the wisest man. His writings (Mishlei - Proverbs in English) prove that God is right! Whenever I realise that I have been foolish or I analyze that I require more wisdom, I go to God in prayer as Apostle Ya'akov (Jacob in Hebrew) says in James 1:5. I trust God to speak to me through His word. Since Proverbs has 31 chapters, it is easy to go through one chapter daily. Whether at lunch time or when I wake up, before bedtime or when I have spare time, I read a proverb a day. I also personalize the promises. For example Proverbs 15:2 (New Living Translation):
"The wise person makes learning a joy; fools spout only foolishness." I agree with that, desire it and profess; "God has made me a wise person (because Jesus Christ {Yeshua HaMashiach} has been made wisdom unto me [1 Corinthians 1:30]), therefore I make learning a joy. I do not act like fools and spout only foolishness.

Yes, a proverb a day
Keeps foolishness away!

Love Won

God is love and God on the inside of us is greater than the enemy in the world. We overcome evil with good and as we proclaim God's goodness in our lives, the plans of the enemy is nullified. Perfect love casts our fear, God's love always wins!

Through It All

It was Andre Crouch who wrote the song through it all, however tonight, the words resound in my soul. I've truly come a long way and I still have a long way to go. The difference however, is that I'm wiser now. I know he will never leave nor forsake me, I know, He will never disown or reject me, I know He will never abandon or hate me... I know...

I've been and I will most probably be through some more hurdles, but He's there, Adonai, my Father, is there with me. Through it all Daddy, You are faithful! Thank You!

Laying it All at Adonai's feet

This past 30 days have been intense! This 2009 really started off well. God has been leading me through the consecration and dedication hall way and I've had to let go of some things I considered important which have no place in His plan.

I want His best
So I must dress less
And travel light
For all I need is His might.
Adonai,
I lay it down,
Before You my King,
All at Your feet.

He crowns the year with His goodness

Today is the twelveth day of the twelveth month and I'm writing this about 12 in the morning! Psalm 65:11 is a very enriching verse. It presents hope, faith and assurance. Elshaddai, Adonai, Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey will crown the year... He will do exceedingly above what we ask or think, He will bless, He will enrich, He will favour, He will lavish upon, He will be gracious, yes, He is very gracious!

Psalm 8:5 was the verse on my heart when this year began... we have been crowned with glory and honour. Now as the year ends and a new one begins, He crowns it with goodness... seems like a good mix, glory, honour and goodness... what a blessing!

Ifẹ Yeṣua Maṣia

The grace of God is awesome! Today is my mom's birthday. MAM is 71 years old today. Ifẹ Yeṣua Maṣia (the love of Yeshua Mashiach, Yeshua Messiah) lo ga ju lọ (is the greatest).

We celebrate your life mummy and we thank God for your life. You are blessed at home and in the field, blessed in your going out and in your coming in, everything you lay your hands to is blessed. You are loved, you are cherished, you are appreciated. God's favour encompasses you from head to toe and all around as a shield. Our God rejoices over you with singing... Zeph 3:17

Ibukun ati Alafia

When praise is always on our lips
Evil cannot find a place to succeed
Grace is abundantly lavished
From the King of kings

Abba Father, the King
Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey
Made me a king unto Himself
Through Yeshua HaMasiach, HaBen
His Only Begotten Son
In Whom He delights
The Ruach HaKodesh
The Holy Spirit
Chose to live inside me!
What a privilege!

They have blessed me
By making me Their own
They have called me, even me, son of God
Alleluia! What a blessing!

They have also blessed me
With Shalom (Alafia, Peace), my first son
And Asher, (Ibukun, Blessing), my second son
and I have and will always let them rule how I raise them!

Mexico

It was such a blessing to hear in church this morning that the mission institute graduates were going to Mexico tomorrow on a missions trip. I remembered the first mission trip (medical missions) I took to El Hongo, Mexico with the Student for International Missions (SIMS) at Loma Linda. It was memorable! I also remembered the photograph above. I took that at El Hongo. God is truly awesome! Nature is breathtaking.
