I'm Free

Let the redeemed of Adonai say so...Psalm 107:2 From my studies of the word of God and in line with what I've been taught, we, Christians, are the ones to proclaim our victory, declare our redemption, and profess our liberty in Yeshua. In accordance with God's word, I am redeemed, I am delivered, I am blessed, I am forgiven, I am adopted into God''s family, I am victorious, I am prosperous, I am above not beneath, I am more than conquerors in Yeshua HaMashiach! Hallelujah!

Everlasting Father

Today is Father's Day and I'm meditating on the fact that Yeshua Mashiach (Jesus Christ) is the Everlasting Father.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)

Truly Yeshua Mashiach is, to us the redeemed by His grace, our Everlasting Father. The earthly father of humans, Adam, gave us the inheritance of sin and death. It was and is Yeshua who gave us the inheritance of everlasting life. As Adam endowed us with condemnation, Yeshua endowed us with grace.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. - 1 Corinthians 15:22

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: - Romans 5:12

Rabbi Sh'aul continues in verses 14-21 of Romans;

14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

These verses explicitly explain how Yeshua Fathers us. By proper doctrine and divine order, Christians cannot pray to Yeshua, we pray to God the Father, however, we can call Him (Yeshua), Everlasting Father, for He is that to us. He is the ONLY Mediator between the Father and us (1 Timothy 2:5) and He is the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls (1 Peter 2:25).

This Father's day, I am grateful to the Everlasting Father (Yeshua) for His everlasting grace (2 Corinthians 13:14). Todah rabbah Yeshua, Avinu Malkeinu (Jesus, our Father and King, thank You very much).

The Faith Walk

Six years ago on this day, I made a plea to God, there have been several events that have reinforced that plea and six years later, I've grown, and I'm still growing. The faith walk is a continuous one, for the just shall live by faith...thank You Father for loving me even still...I am grateful for June the second!

The Power of the Blood

Forty nine years ago, this day, my brother was born. He however died in 1979. This year, I can remember him without any taint of pain. That's a blessing, that's due to the power of the blood of Jesus Christ!.The power of the blood has erased every pain and shame. The power of the blood has comforted and healed.Todah rabbah (thank You very much) Father for the blood of Yeshua!

Redeeming The Time

"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil..." Ephesians 5:16

Rabbi Sh'aul instructs us in his letter to redeem the time for the days are evil. I remember the verb "when" anytime I see time. Considering this verse, the "when" is now. The "what" is redemption of time. Some other translations of the same verse say "making the most of each opportunity". Recently, I've had to ask YHWH to help me redeem the time He's given me. Twenty four hours seem too small, but if I follow His design and purpose, twenty four hours is just right!

By the verse above, I am expected by Adonai to redeeem my time. It means I must incline and align my will (the center of my soul), to prioritize what Avinu Malkeinu prioritizes. I must utilize my mind (the information center of my soul) to think whatever Adonai thinks. I must retrain my emotions (the nurturing center of my soul) to feel, invest in and nurture relationships that Elohim has designed for me.

By Your grace, Immanuel, in Yeshua's name, I redeem the time, for the days are evil.

Be Anxious For Nothing

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Many things happen in life that we cannot explain, it is so easy to fret or lament, but when we really think about it, it's a lack of trust in God that makes us fret, lament or become anxious. If we really believe that He Who holds the universe together is in charge of our lives, then we'll pray, supplicate, give thanks and rest in His faithfulness.

Father, according to Your word, I am anxious for nothing, but with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, I let my requests be made known to You and Your peace which surpasses all comprehension will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Amen

What If...

"What if Adam had not eaten the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil?"

"Then we would have had no need for salvation." He responded.

His little brother continued, "What if Eve had not listened to Satan?"

"Then she would not have eaten the fruit, and most likely Adam wouldn't have eaten it too."

"What if Adam had refused to take the fruit from Eve when she offered it to him?"

"Then God would have destroyed Eve and made another Eve for Adam from his bones."

"I would have preferred that option." His little brother replied.

"I too." Tolani replied, "but it did not happen like that. So let's rejoice in the grace of Christ."

Tolani's discussion with his brother is a familiar one. Many of us have wondered "what if" the fall in the garden of Eden had not happened. A minster once shared how he wondered what would have happened if Adam and Eve had asked God for forgiveness after the fall, whether things wouldn't have changed. I have wondered and wished that Eve, after speaking with the Serpent, had waited till God came around in the cool of the Evening to ask Him regarding how she could become a "god", since that was the way Lucifer "got her". However, like Tolani stated, things did not happen that way, however, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, did happen and in that I do rejoice!

A new year is a fresh start, a time of reflection, a time of praise, a time of re-purposing, a time of prayer, a time of waiting on the Lord, a time of receiving from the Lord.

Celebrating the female

I had such great fun at a women's meeting last week. There's something wonderful about being with women who love God and understand the beauty that God has deposited in women. Being of Yoruba origin, I was not raised to celebrate womanhood but motherhood. I couldn't fully "enjoy" my femaleness and femininity until I became a mother. Thank God, He helped me through His word to find spiritual joy in being His son.

Recently, I have begun to celebrate not just the fact that I am a Christian but the fact that I am female (neqeba - Hebrew) and not only Ishshah (womb forming man) which is 'somewhat' tied to marriage and motherhood. I now have every puzzle piece in place and relish Adonai's grace.

Thank You Elohim for making me female!

Good Memories

I'm fond of November, some people I cherish were born this month and about five years ago, this month, a godly dream was birthed in me. That dream has taken me on a journey that equipped me in becoming the person I am today. I have good memories of November, the 11th month on the Julian calendar but the second or third month (depending on the day) on the Jewish Calendar.
